Christian Christensen is Professor of Journalism in the Department of Media Studies at the University of Stockholm. Christian’s research focuses on the relationship between media and power: be it economic, political or military. In relation to WikiLeaks, Christensen has published a number of academic and popular articles, and is in the process of putting a special issue of the International Journal of Communication together on the impact of WikiLeaks upon media and communication research. He has also published a large number of popular articles in publications such as Le Monde Diplomatique and CounterPunch, and regularly appears in print and broadcast media as a commentator or expert. In 2011 Christian was invited by the Swedish Foreign Office (UD) to participate in a roundtable on Swedish state aid to internet activists.
